Experience

What the work demonstrates

UrbanTech is providing building condition assessment and engineering survey services for Second Avenue Subway Phase 2. The work combines traditional structural inspection with reality-capture tools—including LiDAR, 360-degree photography, and digital-twin modeling—to create more complete baseline records for structures affected by major underground construction. This experience informs the inspection and data-management methods being developed through UrbanSight.

Highlights

01

UrbanTech is supporting Phase 2 of the Second Avenue Subway with baseline condition assessments for more than 200 structures across Contracts 1, 2, and 3.

02

For Contract C-26201 at the 106th Street Station area, the assignment includes 79 existing buildings within the project influence area.

03

Field documentation includes Matterport Pro3 photospheres and limited LiDAR data for building interiors and exteriors.

04

Engineering work includes document review, field surveys, building inspection, structural risk assessment, and preparation or update of Building Inspection and Assessment Reports.
