Experience

What the work demonstrates

UrbanTech combined hands-on structural inspection with 3D laser scanning to assess deteriorated precast and prestressed concrete elements within the active Port Authority Bus Terminal. Field observations, probing, measured geometry, photographs, scan data, record drawings, and structural analysis were used to document existing conditions, evaluate deterioration, and develop repair recommendations and contract documents.

Highlights

01

UrbanTech performed field verification, hands-on inspection, and probing of deteriorated precast and prestressed concrete parking-level structural elements.

02

Record drawings and field-measured geometry were used as part of the structural assessment.

03

3D laser scanning was used where access was limited.

04

Inspection findings were documented through photographs, sketches, analysis, and condition records.

05

Condition findings were developed into repair and maintenance recommendations, preliminary repair schemes, and contract documents.
